You got that dead right. On many awayday it was comforting knowing that as long as we stuck together our backs were covered. Very difficult to explain the awayday cultute of those days to younger people these days.
Saw some hairy stuff back then but it was my favourite time to be a fan,every aspect of it now is so sanitised now,there is none if the old rawness of a good away trip.

When we were trawling about the various shitholes of the country in the 80's 90's it was all rather comforting to know that fellow fans would look after each other and that the 'lads' were there
Different world today - in my day the closest was when one of our genuine yobs got stroppy with an opposing scarfer and took a clip for his trouble from one of ours for playing up
I am so pleased to have seen those days, they are not coming back I fear

Tension between fans is nothing new, back in the day most decent supporters felt the ICF and their like were a fucking embarrassment.

Can the fans sue the club I wonder for not protecting them within a public area ? then give the money to bubbles.

If the club choose to be mean spirited then they should know that West ham fans will only carry on with more hate and more annoyance toward their chairmen and Ms Brady.

If you're reading this firstly well done fella - your actions last Saturday have helped pile on the pressure them three scrooges find themselves under at the moment.
I get that you're probably feeling shit at the moment, especially with the threat of having to pay-out thousands. However, I'm sure enough fans will chip in to make sure that you don't end up paying a penny out of your own pocket…I know I will if needed.
Mark my words, you will go down in West Ham fan folk law and that image with you holding the flag will be remembered for many a year to come....hopefully as a symbol of when the board's days were finally numbered.

First thanks to so many of you for your support and good wishes.It is obviously not a great time for me at the moment and your support has been a great comfort.I gave myself up at Hatfield Police Station last night.They made contact with the Met who will be interviewing and chargin me soon.unfortunately West Ham are taking out a Civil Case whereby any fine they incur from the F,A they will seeking to pass on to those on the pitch,I did not see that coming and tthat is very worrying,I put so much hope into the march which of course did not take place.I paid a lot of money out for a flag which i cannot take into the ground ,I felt I just had to do something and the older ones amongst you will understand what I was trying to do,Many of us have shared great times supporting what was a great but largely unsuccessful club.I have great memories and I thank you all for that.To those I have upset along the way I apologise.I know I can be outspoken at times and am sorry.For those of you that want to help me the greatest service you can do me is to continue and intensify the protests until these awful people on the Board are gone from the club,our club.Goodbye and god bless you all. That would be the understanding way to sort this out and perhaps even line something up for Bubbles (and son) to celebrate his 50th year of following his beloved hammers.
